The Geeta - in the form of a dialogue between Arjun and Shrikrishna, is set in the background of a war between Pandavas and Kauravas. Geeta synthesizes various strands of Hindu philosophy like knowledge (Jnana), action (Karma), meditation (Yoga) and devotion (Bhakti) for spiritual pursuits.
